About Us

Group of Business People Having a Meeting — Kent, OH — M&E Whitmore Consulting

Our History

M & E Whitmore Consulting, in Kent, OH, represents the fruition of many years of discussing with my life partner the idea of developing a business where we could work together. The E stands for Dr. Eve Whitmore and the M stands for Dr. Mark Whitmore. Although our disciplines are different, Eve’s focus is on teenagers and young adults and mine is on behavior in the workplace, we often found that we were working on opposite sides of the same problem.

It became clear to us that the developmental issues identified for the employee in the workplace were also present in their home environment, and similarly issues at home can quickly become issue at work. Yet, they are seldom addressed in a holistic manner.

If the origins for the issues at work are due to problems at home, then those issues will not be resolved unless there is a home- based solution. If the issues at home are in part due to issues stemming from the person’s work environment, it will be very difficult to change the problems at home unless the work-related issues are also addressed.

Work and home-based problems are seldom addressed in a holistic manner primarily because of the limited expertise of the coach and therapist. Therefor by combining forces, M&E Whitmore Consulting provides comprehensive expertise in dealing with work-life issues through the role of Coaching.
